Whereas on the other hand, the 38-year-old Lakers legend recently broke Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time NBA scoring record. And after the record-breaking match, he proclaimed himself the greatest basketball player of all time. Despite losing his own scoring record to the six-time NBA champion. Abdul-Jabbar appreciated the 38-year-old for his record-setting performance.

The 22-time Grand Slam champion in an interview with The National shared his take over fans calling the basketball star ‘arrogant’ after his statement. The world number 1 detailed that he can relate to the basketball star’s mentality of being the best player ever.

He said, “Yes, I can relate to that because I believe that what worked for me and still works for me is that self-belief and confidence level. I know that when I’m ready, when I’m there out on the court, on any surface, against anybody, I’m better, I’m the best. And I don’t think there’s anything arrogant or pretentious about it.”
