Even the basketball great Michael Jordan has nothing but respect for The Swiss Maestro. Jordan follows tennis and even went to see the semifinal of the 2014 US Open between Federer and Marin Cilic. Jordan even commented on the atmosphere in the stadium and talked about how different the environment was.

Jordan, when asked about Federer’s chances of winning the Open, felt that he could pull it off. Federer said that he felt great to have Jordan watching his match. Growing up, Jordan was Federer’s all-time sports idol.

After the match, the Brooklyn native compared the atmosphere between tennis and an NBA game. Jordan said that it was quieter than the Madison Square Garden basketball stadium. But he said he understood why that was the situation since fans know what Federer requires.
