The two discussed various hot topics, from their careers to the current scenario of both tennis and basketball. They also had an interesting conversation about Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant.

John McEnroe on Kevin Durant

After having a poor outing with the Brooklyn Nets last season, there were reports that the star basketball player requested a trade from the Nets. However, he later withdrew his request. This left Nets fans furious over Durant. McEnroe discussed about the same with Garnett.

Referring to the recent incidents of Brooklyn fans going against Durant, McEnroe asked Garnett, “Now your buddy, Kevin Durant. What do you think of that? Can I ask you one question?”

Understanding what McEnroe wanted to ask, Garnett replied, “The fact that players have the leverage to be able to dictate their movements says a lot about players and what we have come from.”

Further, McEnroe suggested the Nets could win this year. “Yeah, they could win it all. Well, they could. I am not saying they are going to. God knows what’s going on for the past couple of years. Talk about dysfunction.”
