Nick Kyrgios about Simmons’ situation

Kyrgios follows basketball and is aware of the contributions Simmons has made. Therefore, now that he is going through some rough patches, and is at his all-time low, he decided to put his trust in him. “He had such success at the start of his career. He’s an NBA All star not many players can say that.” Kyrgios, who recently attended the opening of the latest NBA store in Sydney, said.

Talking about Kyrgios‘ game, he has had a fruitful season. At first, he, alongside fellow Aussie professional Thanasi Kokkinakis, claimed the title on the hard courts of the Australian Open. Then he made his Grand Slam finals debut on the greens of London and during the American swing performed a historic sweep at Citi Open. He claimed both the singles and doubles titles at the ATP 500 event.

What lies ahead of Kyrgios?

The 2022 Wimbledon runner-up during the Japan Open incurred a gruesome injury that zeroed his chances of entering the ATP Finals of this year. A knee injury from the round of 16 match against the Polish professional Kamil Majchrzak made him withdraw from the quarterfinals tussle against Taylor Fritz.

Following that, he had to pull his name out of Paris Masters as well. This, in turn, brought him to a spot where Sebastian Korda was more eligible for the ATP Finals. As Kyrgios only participated in one tournament post the US Open which is the Japan Open.
