Carlos Alcaraz has made a name for himself in 2022. The young tennis player has gone up to become the world no. 1 player and being from Spain has obviously brought the comparison with the tennis legend, Rafael Nadal. Nadal was also 19 when he won his first grand slam in 2005. Alcaraz, who has often been called, the younger version of Rafael Nadal, is contemplating leaving the season end’s ATP Finals in Turin.

The comparison comes into the picture because the Spanish tennis legend had also dropped out of the ATP Finals in 2005 after winning his first grand slam.

Carlos Alcaraz had faith in his capabilities and form, and therefore, he knew that he would be completing his dream to win his first grand slam title. Consequently, he won at the US Open clinching his first grand slam title. Rafael Nadal won his first grand slam title at the 2005 Roland Garros and eventually at the end of the season did not participate in the ATP Finals.

This observation has come in handy because Alcaraz too after winning his first grand slam title is casting some doubts about his participation at the ATP Finals.
