Taylor Fritz’s girlfriend had a different opinion of the crowd’s feelings toward Rafael Nadal

The defending champion of the Australian Open today went down like a warrior against his young rival Mackenzie McDonald. The crowd was clearly biased toward Nadal. However, Taylor Fritz’s girlfriend Morgan Riddle though present did not really like all the attention that Nadal was getting.

Through her Instagram story, while showcasing the beaming Rod Laver Arena, Morgan Riddle stated, “full house for Rafa (with a frustrated face emoticon)”.

Well, her feelings can not be dismissed. She is the girlfriend of a strong competitor against Rafa who had a tough run against him.

Despite that, her presence is proof itself that if you are a tennis enthusiast, you can not ignore your instinct to watch Rafa play. Rafael Nadal fought till the end of the three-set match against world no. 65. The American player had an advantage against the injured Rafa who had a difficult time giving his peak performance in the later part of the match.

However, that does not snatch away McDonald’s credits for delivering an upsetting yet astounding defeat to the defending champion.

Fans heartbroken over Nadal’s beginning of the end era

Every Rafael Nadal fan is trying to accept the reality which they really don’t want to. Watching Rafa struggle with yet another injury was absolutely heartbreaking. The Spanish legend’s mid-match hip injury and then his eventual defeat have made his fans contemplate a few things.

Fans took to Twitter to express their emotions. While some could not just bother to accept the reality, others thanked him for giving tennis a legend to look up to. Amidst these fans was her wife on the courtside who could not stop herself from crying after seeing him go through such an ordeal.
