World No.1 Novak Djokovic is chasing history at the US Open 2021. And on his way to the semifinals, he steered past the Italian, Matteo Berrettini in the quarterfinals clash. He has now set up a major challenge against Alexander Zverev for a place in the final.

Additionally, Djokovic has had a much challenging American Slam campaign than in previous years. Despite that, he maintained his unbreakable winning streak in major tournaments, even in New York.

After losing the opening set, the 20-time Grand Slam champion showed Berrettini what he is all about. Incredibly, Djokovic closed the match 5-7, 6-2, 6-2, 6-3 in three hours and 28 minutes.

Novak Djokovic sets up US Open 2021 Semi-Final against Alexander Zverev
Undeniably, it is shaping up to be one of the most enticing battles of this year’s US Open. Moreover, both Djokovic and Zverev are on incredible winning streaks.

The Serbian ace has a 26-match winning streak in Grand Slam tournaments. Accordingly, Djokovic is only two wins away from accomplishing the elusive Calendar Slam feat.

But on the other hand, Zverev has not lost a single match after his Wimbledon 2021 loss. He is currently on a 16-match winning streak in which he won the Olympics gold medal and Cincinnati title.
