‘A Lot of Experience in My Corner’ – American Star Sebastian Korda Opens up About His Special Relationship With Andre Agassi

Sebastian Korda undoubtedly has a great bunch of coaches and mentors guiding him towards success. The 21-year-old has Dean Goldfine as his coach. However, what makes the highlight is his mentors, Andre Agassi, and father Petr Korda? Working together as a team. The three have helped Sebastian experience reasonable success in his career lately.
Recently, the American suffered a third-round exit at the ATP Masters 1000 Monte Carlo. Even though Korda suffered an early-round exit in Monte Carlo. He won one of his biggest matches in the second round. In the second round, he beat the 2022 Miami Open champion, Carlos Alcaraz. During his post-match press conference, Korda opened up on how his coaching team has been beneficial for him.

Sebastian Korda on working with his coaching team
Sebastian started his tennis career with his dad (who is also a former player) as his coach. Dean Goldfine joined Korda’s camp in 2017. The American coach guided Korda to win the 2018 Aussie Open boy’s singles title. Going further he also assisted him during his transition to the professional tour. In the mid of 2020, Korda was invited by legend Andre Agassi to train in preparation for the new season.
With all former players working together with Korda, it has surely been a treat for the 21-year-old. Opening up on his team during the press conference, Korda said, “Yeah, I’ve got a lot of great people in my corner. I’ve got my dad and my coach, Dean Goldfine, Andre Agassi.”

Andre Agassi and Petr Korda have been two of the prominent players in their time. The two have been Grand Slam champions, along with being in the Top 2 in the rankings. Taking the two points into consideration, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that the two possess a massive amount of game experience.

Addressing the experience that the two bring on the table, Korda said, “I have got a lot of knowledge and a lot of experience in my corner. So it’s a lot of great talks, and I try and take in as much as possible, yeah, try to use it the way I can.”
With the coaches continuing their able guidance, Sebastian is next expected to play at the Barcelona Open.
