Apart from his 20 Grand Slam titles, beast-like competitiveness, and never-give-up attitude, the hair of Rafael Nadal also gets much attention. And now, it has once again caught the center of attention as the tennis legend wore a new wig.

Recently, the 35-year-old Spaniard was in attendance for his documentary film and podcast presentation at his Rafa Nadal Academy. There, he also congratulated Daniel Rincon for winning the US Open 2021 boys’ singles title.

Later on, the Academy’s official Twitter posted pictures of the event. And that is when tennis fans noticed the new hair on Nadal.

Following that, the fans took to Twitter to mock the Spaniard’s look. Some even got emotional looking at the champion embracing change.

Twitter reacts to Rafael Nadal’s new wig

There were two kinds of reactions; fans amusing themselves and getting all teary. First, let’s look at the hit Rafael Nadal got on his new hair.

Indeed, it was raining Gifs on this new update from the Spaniard. Some internet experts also tried to guess what kind of wig it was.

Conversely, the other side of fans found their way to respond to Nadal. While one wrote, “Not the two-tone swoop,” the other cried, “He didn’t go to treat his foot guys; he went for hair transplant.”

Moreover, one fan even tried to use sarcasm over the hair. He said, “His hair grew back after taking a break from tennis for like two months.”

When will Rafael Nadal play on the tennis tour again?

Unfortunately, Nadal will not play anymore in the 2021 season, citing a foot injury. However, he is positive to return soon on the court in the 2022 season.

Additionally, the Spaniard also missed Wimbledon and the US Open 2021 tournaments. But because Novak Djokovic lost in New York, he, Federer, and Djokovic all have 20 Grand Slams each.
