Grigor Dimitrov meets with Khaby

Roland Garros posted pictures of the duo having fun at the Monte Carlo Masters and captioned them as “A special guest“. It seems like the two are having a gala time at the event, which is known for arranging some form of entertainment or the other.

This is not the first time that Khaby has met a tennis player. He met and exchanged a few shots with Novak Djokovic and Stefanos Tsitsipas at the ATP Finals last year.

‘Good Things Will Happen’- Grigor Dimitrov Says He’s Put in a Lot of Work This Season

Grigor Dimitrov’s Monte Carlo Campaign

Dimitrov’s Monte Carlo Campaign came to an end after a fairly successful run at the Monte Carlo Masters. The Bulgarian former World No. 3 lost to Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the semifinals after putting up a valiant fight. The Spaniard won the first set, while Grigor Dimitrov managed to win the second one in a tiebreaker. But he could not hold his own against the Spaniard in the deciding one and lost 4-6, 7-6(2), 3-6.

Despite his loss in the semis, Dimitrov should be mighty impressed with his run in Principality. En route to his last four run, the Bulgarian defeated Casper Ruud in straight sets in his Round-of-16 clash and edged past Hubert Hurkacz in a three-set thriller in the quarterfinal.

As far as Davodich Fokina is concerned, he is aiming to win his maiden Masters 1000 title on Sunday. The Spaniard stunned Novak Djokovic in his Round-of-32 clash before downing David Goffin, Taylor Fritz, and Grigor Dimitrov in the subsequent rounds. He will lock horns against Stefanos Tsitsipas in the summit clash. The defending champion just lost a solitary set en route to his run to the final.
