Taylor Fritz is a popular player who is ranked amongst the top 10. He is the only player in the top 10 who is from the US, and his fan following is quite big. However, he is not the only popular person when it comes to those in his sphere. His girlfriend, Morgan Riddle, amasses a huge fan following of her own. Many assume that she is actually more popular than the player, and the tennis star agrees.

Taylor Fritz agrees about girlfriend Morgan Riddle’s popularity

In the Shanghai Masters, Fritz was not able to go that far. He fought for two matches but found himself being ousted by Diego Schwartzman in three sets. Although eliminated early, he did have fun at the tournament, especially during off-court moments. He was pranked by tournament organizers during an interview.

He was subject to a prank interview where one interviewer was telling another interviewer what to ask Fritz. They gave the American player the challenge of saying, “My girlfriend is more popular than me” in Mandarin.

Fritz managed to say it clearly, albeit with some difficulty. When they revealed to him what he had said, the former number 5 just chuckled and said, “I mean, you’re not wrong.”

Despite an early exit from the tournament, Fritz was able to get over the disappointment of his early loss not long after his defeat. He and his girlfriend visited their favorite place.
