Nadal is undoubtedly Djokovic’s nemesis, but the two do not have a bitter relationship off-court. However, the same is not true in the case of their fans.
Novak Djokovic fans are relentless
Djokovic’s fans have been quick to react to the latest statement of Nadal about recovering from his chronic foot issue. They have accused Nadal of being on steroids and the whole story about a new treatment to be fake.
"Everything changed when we found an efficient treatment for my foot. It helps a lot. It has radically changed the vision of my future in professional tennis."

Djokovic fans have conveniently assumed that Nadal is just running away from the Serbian on the court. A Djokovic fan interpreted Rafa’s statement as:
Translation: “I had an ideal excuse to retire after Djokovic won the GOAT debate but now I can keep playing after pure luck and Djokovic’s stupidity conspired to allowed me to continue. I really can’t believe my luck! 🤣”
Read that again. https://t.co/8F43M9qzN7

To top it off, the 21-time Grand Slam champion’s fanbase has come up with another theory. They are having their suspicions about an “anti-Novak” bias in the circuit after everyone questioned Djokovic about his bottle. The Serb was seen inhaling something from his bottle between matches and that had spurred a controversy.
Nobody wants to know the details of the “efficient treatment” but everyone wants to know what exactly is inside Djokovic’s “bottle”, says it all about the bias that exists in tennis media. https://t.co/79anoZade7

Fans have also tried to interpret Rafa’s statement in parts and suggested that he might be playing with an ulterior motive.

A Novak fan has even named the cure they think Rafa has found-
Yeah, it’s called lying.

Another fan has expressed their concerns about Rafa.
Problem with an “efficient “ drugs is destroying other organs and getting hurt more often with a age. Also, side effects are boldness and looking like bodybuilder which is very strange since we know “I’m not a gym guy”..good luck

What do Rafael Nadal fans have to say?
Several Nadal fans have gotten into virtual squabbles with Djokovic supporters regarding their comments. They have repeatedly tried to state that the treatment the Spaniard is talking about is legal and that there is public information available on the procedure. One Nadal fan tweeted,

I see the usual comments from the usual suspects. The treatment in question is called Radiofrequency Ablation & it was well publicized when he had it done. So far, it's working and making the pain from Mueller Weiss Syndrome manageable. https://t.co/t8mI45YvHi

Considering everything, the good news is that Rafael Nadal will not be needing anesthetics anymore to numb his feet while on court. The player had gone into surgery in 2021, but only received partial relief from the long-standing condition. However, in light of his recent statement, we are hopeful that his career has indeed taken a turn for the best.
