Nonetheless, his legion of fans is making sure they don’t forget about him during the incredibly exciting competition in California. One of his older fans came up with a brilliant idea to give him an incredible tribute outside the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.

In the process, she mocked ‘The Big 3’ of tennis, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic in a bizarre manner. It’s not often that you see someone praise a tennis star at the expense of the aforementioned legends. However, that was the case this time.

An old lady hailed Nick Kyrgios at the BNP Paribas Open

The controversial tennis player’s fans are doing their best to honor him during his absence from the tournament in California. An aged fan was spotted outside the Indian Wells Tennis Garden wearing a t-shirt with Nick Kyrgios’ picture printed on it, alongside ‘The Big 3’ of tennis. It was her own way of honoring the Australian tennis star while mocking the tennis greats.

“I Got Nick’d,” was engraved above a picture of the bad boy of tennis on that t-shirt. Meanwhile, “Oh that’s right” and “They got Nick’d too!” were inscribed above the pictures of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic.

By donning that attire, she was letting the audience know that Kyrgios has outclassed the 3 legends in various tournaments over the years. The 27-year-old also has a better H2H against his best friend on the men’s circuit, Djokovic. However, it was the Serbian tennis legend who triumphed in the 2022 Wimbledon Final.

Kyrgios took note of his fan’s bizarre outfit on social media as he shared the same on his Instagram Story. He also added a caption, “This shirt is insane,” to suggest that he was clearly impressed with that tribute.

The 27-year-old ATP player, who is known for his bunt responses, recently played the ‘F**k, Marry, Kill’ question game with a renowned comedian. As part of the game, Kyrgios had to open up about his feelings toward the Big 3 of tennis.

The bad boy of tennis made his feelings clear about the Serbian star with whom he shares a brotherly bond. He said that Djokovic will be his pick for marrying someone given the criteria of the game. Federer, on the other hand, was Kyrgios’ choice for the “Who’d you f**k?” question. And Nadal got into the bitter, “kill” category for the Aussie.
