The next-gen player had a tumultuous start this year as he lost in the quarter-finals of the Australian Open against Novak Djokovic. But, Zverev bounced back in style by winning the Mexican Open with a straight-sets victory over Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Since then, the German has been producing decent performances on the ATP tour. Teamed up with his father once again after a brief partnership with the retired Spanish tennis legend David Ferrer, Zverev appears to be in safe hands.
The father-son duo worked wonders as the Zverev won his first Mutua Madrid Open title last year, where he defeated the likes of Rafael Nadal, Dominic Thiem, and Matteo Berrettini.

Coming to Roland Garros, Alexander Zverev will play his second-round match against Russian qualifier Roman Safiullin. His potential third and fourth round opponents are Miomir Kecmanovic and Roberto Bautista Agut.
Even though clay isn’t his suitable turf, the German looks forward to making the most in this year’s French Open. Last year in Paris, Zverev lost in the fourth round to Jannik Sinner.
