Miami Open is underway and as usual there’s a lot of great tennis on display. In a much anticipated fourth-round match, Alexander Zverev marched past Thanasi Kokkinakis in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4. The German’s attitude and approach towards the match should give him confidence for the rest of the tournament.

With the points they have so far, if Zverev manages to lift the trophy in Miami, he will be within 400 points of the World no. 1. This will happen if Daniil Medvedev loses in the quarterfinals of Miami. The Russian star defeated Jenson Brooksby in straight sets and has a quarterfinal clash against the defending Miami champion, Hubert Hurkacz.

It will also mark a special time in the tennis fraternity as for the first time in about two decades, there will be multiple players contending for the top spot at the Monte Carlo Masters.
