Over the last two years, Felix Auger-Aliassime has earned a big name in tennis. The Canadian star has impressed the fans with his ability to serve quite high and his backhands, that are really amazing to watch as well.

Even though the 21-year-old Felix Auger-Aliassime is yet to win a an ATP title on Tour in the singles category, he has a doubles title to his name. He made headlines when he included Rafael Nadal’s former coach, Toni Nadal, in his coaching team earlier this year.

Felix has been a brilliant player ever since he started playing in the juniors category. Interestingly, he won the US Open title- both in the singles and doubles category as a junior. He made his professional debut in 2017 on the ATP Tour.

Although Felix was born in Montreal, Canada, he has links to Togo and France. His father, Sam Aliassime, immigrated to Canada from Togo- a country located in West Africa. He worked in a tennis academy there and thus, helped his son to become a tennis player. His mother, on the other hand, is of French-Canadian descent.

So far, Felix has represented his nation in many different tournaments including the Tokyo Olympics 2020. He led his country’s tennis roster there but failed to grab a medal. Even before that, he led his country to a Davis Cup final. Soon, the Canadian will also be representing Team World at the Laver Cup 2021.

Felix Auger-Aliassime has a bright future ahead of himself. Fans have huge expectations from him and want him to win some tournaments now. Will he be able to end his 2021 tennis season on a high?
