The former Wimbledon semifinalist also asserted that even if 80 percent of the crowd supports him, the Serb will still focus on the other 20 percent. Henman believes that the 36-year-old player likes to be booed on the court as it further motivates him to give dominating performances. He added, “I find it amazing and fascinating that he focuses on individuals in the crowd who are against him.”

The WTA legend also backed the Brit’s assertions about Djokovic

Just like Henman, the French tennis legend, Marion Bartoli acknowledged how the ATP player performs at his optimum levels on the court, particularly, when he is a target of criticism. The 38-year-old also lauded the Serb’s unique ability to dissent his naysayers in the stands.

The ‘Djoker’ may have the respect of the fans, but when it comes to their love and admiration, the former Wimbledon winner added, things are “slightly different”.  The reason for this is that Djokovic belongs to a generation that is also distinguished by two ATP luminaries with sizable fan bases: Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
