The popular game, pickleball has become a major talking point, especially, now that a lot of players in the tennis community have realized its potential. Frances Tiafoe, who has already showcased his supremacy in the previous season’s US Open, has also entered the sphere of a different sport in the United States.

The American tennis star has recently opened up about his viewpoint on pickleball which has taken the country by storm. While talking about it, he also brushed aside its popularity on the tennis community.

Frances Tiafoe opens up about his viewpoint on pickleball

The ATP player was recently featured in an interview in which he talked about his antics from the previous season’s Grand Slam event in New York. Meanwhile, he was also asked about his opinions on the huge popularity explosion of pickleball in his country. A lot of tennis players like Nick Kyrgios and Naomi Osaka have already showcased their interest in the game.

Notably, Frances Tiafoe was also asked whether he has played the sport or not considering its recognition in the tennis realm. The American tennis superstar answered by saying that he hasn’t really played it all. However, he added, “obviously, that’s a sport, that’s growing here quite a lot throughout the states and a lot of influential people are buying teams and I think that sport gonna take the next level. I hope it doesn’t take away from tennis too much.”

He added that tennis is a great sport that is growing immensely in the sporting community. Later, Tiafoe was also asked whether he thinks that a professional tennis player would have a better chance of entering the sphere of pickleball or vice versa. He brushed aside its popularity in the tennis community by answering the question. Tiafoe stated, “Come on, you know that. You know what the answer is.”

Though, the American star also believes that pickleball is growing and a lot of notable figures are buying teams. Even, the American media personality and boxer, Logan Paul was quite intrigued to talk about one of the fastest-growing sports. During a podcast show, he talked about its potential and said that the popular game might be the thing in the country.
