Tiafoe focused on the importance of therapy in his career and shed light on the collaboration with BetterHelp.

Frances Tiafoe on the importance of mental health in his gameplay

The American tennis sensation has kept his game strong owing to his good mental health. Furthermore, he talked about the experience of neglecting mental health issues. He said, “A lot of times growing up, you hear people saying, ‘Shake it off,’ and ‘Man up,’ and that (leads to) holding things in.”

He promoted his new collaboration with BetterHelp where people can seek mental health assistance without any judgment. Tiafoe opened up about his own experience of getting therapy. He said, “I love having a place where I know I can go to and not be judged.”

Being in therapy has made it easier for him to “speak about actual things I’m going through, problems I’m having, understanding why I do things, why I react in a certain way to things, and where it’s all stemming from.”

The hope ignited by Tiafoe

His unbelievable run at the US Open has given the Americans hope to see the US Open title get home. The last time an American male player won a US Open title was back in 2003. After Andy Roddick, there has not been any success at the hard-court major.
