American Tennis Fans Left Frustrated With the Broadcasting of Rafael Nadal vs Novak Djokovic Match at French Open 2022

The French Open 2022 has been a massive success, as we have already seen some of the best matches in the tournament. Those matches include Rafael Nadal vs Novak Djokovic match, Carlos Alcaraz vs Alexander Zverev, and a few others.
However, it seems like many fans were not able to enjoy those matches, particularly tennis fans in the USA. The main problem was with the telecasting rights, as it didn’t show all the matches on one platform, which was frustrating for many hardcore tennis fans.

Many USA fans could not see Rafael Nadal vs Novak Djokovic match at the French Open 2022
The emergence of tennis stars in the USA has been impressive over the past several years, both in men’s and women’s tennis. As a result, many American tennis fans tuned in during various ATP and WTA matches on the tour. However, during the French Open, many fans weren’t able to watch the matches during the night sessions. Particularly, many missed the quarter-final clash between Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.

Notably, Tennis Channel has been broadcasting most of the matches in the United States, including the Nadal-Djokovic match. However, not all households have subscribed to this network, as most of them prefer ESPN and other sports networks. Also, ESPN broadcasts the other three Majors, except the French Open.

It’s not a surprise that people in America are watching tennis more. At the moment, many players from the country are slowly rising to become global superstars. 18-year-old rising star Coco Gauff has been sensational at the French Open this year, as she reached her first Grand Slam final. Another American tennis player, Jessica Pegula, recently entered the top 10 in the WTA rankings.
Earlier, at the Australian Open, Danielle Collins reached the final and then entered the top 10. Some other players like Amanda Anisimova, Sloane Stephens, and other tennis stars are impressing on the tour.

Meanwhile, Taylor Fritz recently won the Indian Wells tournament by beating Rafael Nadal in the final. Also, he rose to no.13 in the ATP rankings, which was his career-high ranking.
