It is truly disheartening to not see Rafael Nadal while the clay-court season is going on in full swing. Furthermore, the bad news keeps pouring in as Nadal has not given any positive update about his recuperation or comeback. But amidst that, he has concentrated on his off-court endeavors. One such breezy initiative has recently come to light as Nadal put his personal feelings into shaping it.
Based in his hometown Mallorca, Nadal has finally launched his hotel, Zel, with a motive to let the visitors experience the beachy and breezy vibe which he himself loves to enjoy.

Rafael Nadal launches his hotel Zel with a personal message
The 22-time Grand Slam champion might be a world renowned personality. However, the place he feels most comfortable is his home. While launching a hotel in Mallorca, where he stayed during the pandemic, he shared his personal vision.
The Spanish tennis legend took to his Instagram story to tell his fans to check out his new hotel, Zel, Born in the Med. He partnered with Melia Hotels International to launch a worldwide hotel chain. The first one is in his place of residence, Mallorca.
In the post, he conveyed his vision behind the hotel and its design. It stated, “With this first ZEL hotel in Mallorca, just like with the concept we created for the brand, we seek to generate and share those moments of life that I so enjoy.”
Nadal shared glimpses of his lifestyle during the COVID-19 pandemic, where he enjoyed sailing and diving into the clear blue waters of Mallorca.

Referencing the same, he sent a message, “You all know that I like to sail, especially in the Mediterranean; eat on the beach, in a boat or beach club and relax while spending time with friends and family, feeling at home.”
Conclusively, he stated, “For me, this is the most important thing and what I wanted to convey with the ZEL project. I believe we’ve got it.” The hotel will have 165 guestrooms and 12 suites. The Spanish legend has shared his joyous vision for his hotel. Now, his fans are waiting for a similar update for his comeback.

Will Nadal participate in the French Open in 2023?
The 14-time French Open champion is still recuperating from an injury suffered during the Australian Open. Recently, a saddening update has dimmed his chances of showing up at Roland Garros.

The director of Bordeaux Challenger confirmed that Nadal has confirmed his absence from the event. This has raised even more apprehensions about his French Open participation.
