With Pickleball Slam two approaching, Andre Agassi and John McEnroe are ready to have a face-off once again on the court. While their rivalry added spark to this year’s Slam, they are again ready to go against each other with their partners. However, there is only one thing that the 53-year-old American tennis legend wants from his arch-rival.

Agassi recently dropped a major question to McEnroe while taunting him the old-school way. While tagging the 64-year-old tennis legend as a ‘control freak,’ the 8-time Grand Slam champion has made an open challenge ahead of the Pickleball Slam two.

Andre Agassi makes an open challenge to John McEnroe

Recently, Agassi appeared on the Pat McAfee Show, where he spilled a lot of secrets about his upcoming pickleball participation. He talked about his mixed doubles partner, Steffi Graf, and how she is ready to get on the court. Along with that, he also made an open challenge to McEnroe, asking him for a singles match that would be played only between the two of them.

He said, “You need to get John back on your show and ask him why he’s not taking me on in singles again. This guy’s dodging me like there’s no tomorrow. I mean some people are governed by fear in their life.”

Following that, while slamming the seven-time Grand Slam champion for having a fear of losing, he also mentioned how he is motivated by love. Even though that wasn’t enough, he went on to further escalate their argument by labeling him a control freak.

Agassi stated, “You trust you trust yourself you get out there fear you know you get scared you want to control everything. And you know John has a little bit of that in his game a little control freak.”

Nevertheless, he is not the only one who is getting his opponent ready for a tough pickleball clash. The 64-year-old American tennis star himself taunted the tennis power couple a few days ago while getting ready to drop thunders on each other at the most-awaited pickleball event.

The seven-time Grand Slam champion revealed his clear advantage in the pickleball Slam a few days ago by bringing in Maria Sharapova as his partner. He also made fun of his opponent at the same moment, referring to his mixed doubles partner as a secret weapon for the next clash. McEnroe mentioned, “Andre, as we get ready for pickleball Slam 2, I know you have a new secret weapon. I know she is awesome, Steffi Graf, your wife.”

While Agassi and McEnroe are both prepared for a tough fight, they are also prepared to give their all with their new mixed doubles partners. It will be intriguing to see who wins the Pickleball Slam 2 championship.
