He has been battling a recurring hip injury, which has significantly hampered his performance and forced him to take prolonged breaks from the sport. Despite two hip surgeries and numerous attempts at a comeback, the physical toll of professional tennis seems to have finally caught up with Murray.

As of now, Murray has confirmed his participation in two major events – the French Open and the Olympics. This means that the Wimbledon Championships, which traditionally conclude the summer season of tennis, will likely serve as the final tournament of his professional career. Despite the immense chaos going on around his retirement, the tennis star has time and again made it clear that he will definitely announce whenever he actually plays in his last tournament. In fact, the question of getting retirement seems to have made him frustrated.
Murray is ‘bored’ of the endless retirement questions
In an interview, Andy Murray shared that there is no right way for anyone to finish their career in tennis. A player’s way may not be fit for another player. He also mentioned that whenever he actually plays his last tournament or match, he is going to announce it and people should stop asking him about it separately.

He added, “I get asked about it after every single match that I play, every single tournament that I play. I’m bored of the question, to be honest.” Well, his fans truly seem to be waiting for an answer for him but till then his fans can enjoy his last few tournaments or matches.
