Andy Roddick Fails to Make Sense of Novak Djokovic’s Split With Goran Ivanisevic – ‘I Will Be Curious..’

Former ATP pro, Andy Roddick dropped his viewpoint after hearing colleague Novak Djokovic‘s split with his long-term coach. Novak Djokovic and his coach Goran Ivanisevic impressed the whole fraternity through their collaboration over six years. The duo also bagged a dozen Grand Slam titles including Novak Djokovic’s Australian Open title this season. However, this superhit partnership has come to an end with a recent statement from the world’s number-one tennis star.

Djokovic took to his official Instagram profile to announce the news. He wrote- “Goran and I decided to stop working together a few days ago. Our on court chemistry had its ups and downs, but our friendship was always rock solid. Sefinjo, thanks for everything my friend. Love you,” From 2018 to 2024, Goran Ivanisevic helped Djokovic to attain some incredible feats in his career including 12 major titles.

The official X (formerly Twitter) platform of the Tennis Channel recently shared a clip from their recent show where Andy Roddick was invited to engage in a conversation with the host. Roddick delved into many matters. However, his comment about Djokovic’s split with Ivanisevic caught a lot of attention among the fraternity – “Yeah, I was surprised you know. If this thing happened it had to be a surprise, both of them had to be something to kinda set these things in motion mid season. You know Djokovic is kinda turn over his entire team for his management, now even Ivanisevic. I will be curious to see know who he goes to next.”

Andy Roddick’s statement expressed that Djokovic’s sudden statement has been a shock to him. This former colleague of Djokovic is willing to see the world’s number-one tennis star’s next moves.

However, Roddick revealed another surprising truth about Djokovic’s personality. He said-“Novak can only take opinions from a certain amount of people honor. That’s why he has been with Becker, that’s why he has gone to those people who know those situations. I will be very curious to see what’s his next move.”

Similar to Andy Roddick, Novak Djokovic’s fans are curious to see the name of his next coach. At the same time, they are intrigued to know the reason behind their fall apart.

According to a tennis analyst, Craigh Shapiro, The split between Djokovic and his coach happened due to an argument that took place during his Indian Wells 2024 presence. Ivisevic’s opinion about Djokovic’s practice efforts led to this conflict. This analyst wrote- “Been told that everything officially fell apart after a big argument over Novak’s effort in practice in Indian Wells, “

Last year after the French Open final, Ivanisevic dropped a shocking revelation about the Serbian tennis legend. He said– “He’s not an easy guy, let’s put it this way. Especially when something’s not going his way. He keeps you stressed, the stress level is always high. It never goes down. But every day you learn something.”
