Greek tennis star Stefanos Tsitsipas has announced a great initiative during his ATP Acapulco Open tournament performance. Recently, Tsitsipas has shared this new initiative with his fans on his social media channel. Previously, this Greek tennis star spoke about the power of social media in influencing people towards a cause. Now he is utilizing the same platform to participate in a great initiative.

Acapulco was devastated by the wrath of Hurricane Otis last October. Making massive property damages to injury, Hurricane Otis’s presence knocked out communications and brought nightmares to Southern Mexico. The community is still suffering to cope with the massive damage. In this context, Greek tennis prodigy Stefanos Tsitsipas makes a heartwarming announcement for Acapulco.

“$1,000 for every ace I hit this week” – Tsitsipas’s kind gesture has mesmerized fans

The official X (formerly Twitter) of the ATP Tour shared a clip of Stefanos Tsitsipas, where the Greek tennis star announced to donate 1000 USD for each perfect ace he will serve in the ATP Acapulco tournament. Sharing Tsitsipas’s message, this page wrote- “United for Acapulco @steftsitsipas will donate 1,000 usd for every ace he hits during the @AbiertoTelcel to the relief program for Acapulco. In October of 2023, hurricane Otis caused catastrophic damage in Acapulco, impacting about 250,000 families, 80% of its hotels and 95% of its business. Join Tsitsipas in supporting Acapulco. Click the link in our bio to donate. #SiempreContigoAcapulco #AMT2024.” 

In Tsitsipas’s words- “I will be donating $1,000 for every ace I hit this week in Acapulco, and it’s going to be transferred to all the relief program for Acapulco in 2024.” Tsitsipas’s gesture surely impressed his fans. It was definitely a great gesture from his end.

Tsitsipas wanted to “support the community” as he always loved Acapulco

This Greek tennis star spoke about his feelings about being a part of this cause. Tsitsipas said- ““I’ve always enjoyed coming to Acapulco and playing in front of the passionate fans here, The recent hurricane was a devastating event, and I wanted to find a way to support the community during this challenging time.” This charitable effort by the Greek tennis star has been happily acknowledged by the tournament committee and the organizers as well.

Inspired by Tsitsipas’s work, Canadian tennis star Felix Auger-Aliassime also indulged in charity by rebuilding the houses of the distressed people.  Aliassime said- “I think it’s a great initiative from the organisation, from the tournament, to get players like myself involved, the community involved, I think it sends a very positive message after the disaster that happened a couple months back, so hopefully I come back next year and see [Julio’s] beautiful home rebuilt.”

Stefanos Tsitsipas’s initiative in ATP Acapulco expressed that he is a mature and responsible tennis star. Along with his own professional endeavors, Tsitsipas willingly wished to participate in society. This truly makes him a great tennis icon for his fans.
