The tennis community can’t keep quiet as the latest edition of the Mexican Open has delivered some spectacular showdowns at the Arena GNP Seguros. It is part of the ATP Tour 500 category and features some of the big guns competing for the championship on the outdoor hard courts in Acapulco. With the conclusion of the initial round of fixtures, the stage is now set for some round of 16 matches during this South American swing.
In the second round, the 8th-seeded American, Frances Tiafoe, will square off against his unseeded German opponent, Dominik Koepfer. With both players of high caliber vying for a place in the quarterfinal round, it will be interesting to see who comes out on top in this hard-court encounter in Acapulco.

After a semifinal finish at the Delray Beach Open, Frances Tiafoe is back on the court at the Mexican Open. Entering the tournament as the 8th-seeded participant, the American tennis star has started his campaign by overcoming Max Purcell in his opening match. Tiafoe made a brilliant comeback after dropping the first set, as he won with a score of 4-6, 6-3, 6-0.

Dominik Koepfer, on the other hand, is coming to the tournament after his first-round defeat at the Los Cabos Open. In his opening-round match in Acapulco, the unseeded German player defeated the Frenchman Terence Atmane while pulling off a bagel set, 6-4, 4-6, 6-0.
