He followed the Aussie slam with the Dallas Open, where he would once again win the first two rounds before losing in the third round. Coming into Mexico, Shelton won his first-round clash against Dan Evans in a three-set clash.

Similar to Shelton, Arnaldi began his 2024 stint in the Brisbane International but had better luck. He won his first two clashes before being ousted by Roman Safiullin. In the Adelaide International, Arnaldi won his opening round match before being eliminated in the second round. He found a similar fate in the Australian Open with a second-round exit.

Arnaldi would once again exit a tournament in the second round of the Delray Beach Open after another three-set clash. However, he would lose in the opening round of the Los Cabos Open. Now, he will face a big challenge in his match against Shelton.
