In the end, the contested call went against Nuno Borges, foiling his attempt to break Cristian Garin’s serve. As she thought back on the situation, the former Wimbledon finalist offered a novel viewpoint on Twitter. He made his case that the Chilean tennis player, who was well aware of the circumstances, ought to have made a statement, highlighting his superior knowledge of the subject compared to his opponent.

He said, “How could you possibly say you won that point? Just because he stops moving doesn’t mean he stopped the point? Best case a replay. YOU MISSED THE BALL IN THE TRAM LINE 😶‍🌫️ how can you win that point?” As the Chilean tennis player argued for his own point, the chaotic set proceeded to the tiebreaker, and it was Garin who had the last laugh, winning the match in straight sets.

Not only did he bash the 27-year-old tennis player for his wrong stand, but he also didn’t leave the umpire for being as sure as someone who was quite there in the match. Let’s take a look at what the 28-year-old Australian has to say about the chair umpire going in the wrong direction.

Nick Kyrgios is not happy with the umpire’s call

He wrote, “This umpire should be fired and never be able to take place in another match. Disgrace.”
