The ATP Finals is underway in full swing and the players are fiercely competing for the semi-final spot. While that’s happening on one side, the tournament organizers proudly informed that Nitto Denko Corporation will serve as the naming sponsors till 2025.

ATP’s chairman Andrea Gaudenzi expressed his delight over the extension in the official press release which read:
“We are very proud to extend our partnership with Nitto for five more years. Nitto are global industry leaders and have fully embraced their sponsorship of our season-ending event since our partnership began three years ago.”

For readers who are unaware, Barclays Bank had previously held the prestigious naming rights for the year-end tournament. However, Japanese firm Nitto replaced them in 2017 and has been running a smooth campaign in compliance with ATP.
The “Nitto ATP Finals” as we call it now, will be widely used for the next five years as a part of the deal. This is indeed massive news as the extension benefits both organizations largely. The ATP Finals is a prestigious tournament and Nitto earns a lot of reputation from being their naming sponsors.
As per the press release, “Nitto will also become a year-round Gold Partner of the ATP Tour and its Official Athletic Tape Sponsor.”
ATP Finals will begin a whole new chapter in 2021
The venue for the ATP Finals is changing next year even though the title sponsor remains the same. It marks the end of an iconic era as the tournament will shift away from London after 11 years.
London has been playing host since 2009 and this year also happens to be the 50th Anniversary of the tournament. When it comes to competing at the O2 Arena, Novak Djokovic stands out as the top performer.

The Serb won four straight titles from 2012-15. Except for Roger Federer’s walkover in 2014, Djokovic enjoyed a straight-set victory in every other final.
As things stand now, the organizers have confirmed Turin, Italy to be the next venue for the event and a five-year deal has come in place. We’ll be seeing players battling it out at the Pala Alpitour arena from 2021-2025 for the ATP Finals title.
