After having several ups and downs in the season this year, the current number 6 looks to end his season on a high note in Turin. He is the youngest winner of the season-ending event since 2001. Tsitsipas landed in Turin with the hope of repeating his heroics in the 2019 ATP Finals. Although he tried his best, he couldn’t stay consistent. Injuries have been a major hindrance in the career of this promising talent. But Stefanos Tsitsipas looks to overcome all the hurdles of his life with patience. He developed patience as one of his biggest strengths. But how?

Tsitsipas said, “Well, as a young boy, I spent a lot of time waiting around school to get picked up. And sometimes my mother would forget to pick me up. She liked and enjoyed a lot swimming in the seashore. I don’t know probably she would swim for 2-3 hours and would forget completely about me in school. So, over the years I spent a lot of hours at school waiting for my mum to come pick me up. And that kind of built my patience over the years. That’s what contributed to my patience today. Well, at the end of the day, I just walked back home because it wasn’t far, it was just 20 mins. But I’d have preferred to be picked up by that time.”
