The tennis community is buzzing as another edition of the Marrakech Open is underway with some spectacular matches on the outdoor clay courts. In a blockbuster opening-round clash, the 3-time singles Grand Slam champion, Stan Wawrinka will lock horns with the Spanish tennis star Albert Ramos-Vinolas.
The Grand Prix Hassan II features some of the biggest names from the men’s tour competing for the ATP Tour 250 series championship. Now that the likes of Wawrinka and Ramos-Vinolas will be looking for a place in the latter rounds, it will be interesting to see who comes out on top in this thrilling opener in Marrakesh, Morocco.

After his lackluster campaign at the Indian Wells Masters, the Swiss tennis star will now participate in the Grand Prix Hassan II as an unseeded player. Stan Wawrinka previously faced a first-round defeat against Tomas Machac in the BNP Paribas Open. Prior to this, the former world No. 3 player also participated in the Rio Open, where he got knocked out by Facundo Diaz Acosta after the opener.

Albert Ramos-Vinolas, on the other hand, is coming to the Marrakech Open after his first-round defeat at the Challenger Girona. This season, the Spanish player also secured a semifinal finish at the Murcia Open, after overcoming the likes of Bu Yunchaoket, David Jorda Sanchis, and Carlos Taberner.
