After a disappointing campaign at the Australian Open, Alexander Bublik looks all geared up to make amends on the indoor hard courts at the Palais des Sports de Gerland. The Kazakhstani tennis star started the tournament on a high note as he swept aside former world No. 10 Denis Shapovalov in a three-set game, 6-1, 6-7, 6-3. In the quarterfinal match, Bublik made a brilliant comeback after dropping the first set as he overcame his compatriot and the sixth-seeded Alexander Shevchenko, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.

Felix Auger Aliassime, on the other hand, also looks in stellar form, as he secured some brilliant initial round victories in Montpellier. Entering the tournament as the third-seeded player, the Canadian player breezed past Frenchman Arthur Cazaux in the round of 16. Auger Aliassime later thumped another unseeded participant, Harold Mayot, in straight sets, 7-5, 6-1, to reach the semifinals of the Open Sud de France.

Even at the 2022 Swiss Indoors Basel, the Canadian player clinched a win against Bublik in a straight-set game, 6-2, 6-3. The current Kazakhstani No. 1 player only has one win against Auger Aliassime, which came at the Hamburg European Open.

Prediction: Bublik to come out on top in this thrilling semifinal game

Having won the Open Sud de France title in 2022, Bublik is well-versed in playing on the court conditions there. Given his vast experience and recent form, the Kazakhstani tennis star is the favorite to win against Auger Aliassime in a three-set game at the Montpellier Open.
