Fognini has not had a great trajectory since the start of the season. He was not able to qualify for the main draws of all slams and masters either. Ugo Humbert is the local favorite, as he is from Metz. The 25-year-old French player has gone as far as round 3 in slams and went to the quarterfinals of the Shanghai Masters.
