After a remarkable start at his ATP Paris Masters campaign, Stefanos Tsitsipas has made a bold statement. He is coming for the title glory. After being out of form for so long, the Greek player seems to have got back on track as he looks determined and focused. Having made his way into the quarter-finals of the tournament, the road to glory might get a little intense for him now.

Coming into the Paris Masters, Stefanos Tsitsipas has displayed a pure run of form. Facing Felix Auger-Aliassime in the first round of the tournament, the Greek player did not have to pull in much effort as he won the match easily with a scoreline of 6-3, 7-6.

However, he faced the tough task of Alexander Zverev in the next round. But, a determined Tsitsipas was on his way to prove the critics wrong who doubted his abilities. The Greek player won the match in straight sets and cruised past his opponent with a scoreline of 7-6, 6-4 which included 10 superb aces. With his sights set on the semi-final, he will now be facing his Russian opponent.

Karen Khachanov, on the other hand, is also enjoying a fair run at the Paris Masters this year. Having faced Max Purcell in the round of 64, the Russian did not have much trouble getting past his opponent. Up next was the Serbian star Laslo Djere. But, a determined Khachanov made sure to break the headlines yet again after he defeated the Serbian 6-4, 7-5.

Coming into the round of 16, he faced Roman Safiullin, the player who did one of the biggest turnaround by defeating Carlos Alcaraz earlier in the tournament. After going down in the first set, he showed resilience and went ahead to win the match 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.

When it comes to the head-to-head record between the two, Stefanos Tsitsipas has clearly been a dominant force. Out of the 7 meetings that the two had, the Greek player has won 6 of them while losing just once. Their first encounter came back in 2017 when the two players played at the Shanghai Masters. In straight sets, Tsitsipas defeated Khachanov and the final scoreline remained 7-5, 6-3 in favor of the Greek player.

On the other hand, the only time that Khachanov has won came back earlier this year at the Miami Open which was also the last meeting that the two had. In an interesting encounter, the Russian player won in straight sets with a scoreline of 7-6, 6-4.

With the way he has played so far in the tournament, he looks in a sweeter spot to take the win home and secure his berth in the semi-finals of the tournament. Also, their head-to-head records suggest that the Greek player has a strong hand over his rival.
