It has all come down to just one final step here in the ATP Swiss Indoors and now only two of the best players in the tournament remain in the competition. With just one step closer to glory, Hubert Hurkacz will battle it out against Canadian powerhouse, Felix Auger Aliassime. With both showing pure dominance in the tournament, one thing is for sure, these two will produce one of the best matches in the tournament.

However, only one among the two will lay their hands on the title. Who will it be? Will it be another title glory for Hurkacz or will it be Aliassime this time? Let’s find out!

Hubert Hurkacz has been playing in the form of his life here at the Swiss Indoors tournament. After having made his way to glory at the Shanghai Masters, he looked to continue his form here in Switzerland as well. Having faced Tallon Griekspoor in the quarter-finals, the Polish player had to pull in some efforts to make his way into the semis. After having lost the first set 6-7, he had to turn on his gameplay.

With a scoreline of 6-7, 6-4, and 6-4, he managed to make his way into the semi-finals, where he faced a tough challenge of Ugo Humbert. The match was a 3-set-thriller with both players denying to give up. However, it was Hurkacz who had the final laugh as he won the match with a scoreline of 6-4, 3-6, 7-6. With a chance to get his hands on the title, he will be looking to continue his form and emerge victorious.

On the other hand, The Felix Auger-Aliassime of 2022 finally returned. After a horrible season, he would be looking to end the year on a high. Interestingly, once regarded as an upcoming prodigy, the best he managed to do this year was make his way into the semi-finals of the Qatar Open. However, the Swiss Indoors presented him with a wonderful opportunity to get back on track and stun everyone.

Having defeated the likes of Holger Rune and Alexander Shevchenko in the tournament, he would be looking to stun heavy favorites liks Hubert Hurkacz as well and win the title.

Hubert Hurkacz vs Felix Auger-Aliassime: Head-to-head

When it comes to the head-to-head stats between the two, the Canadian player has a slight edge. These two have faced each other a total of 3 times out of which Felix Auger-Aliassime has won 2 while Hurkacz won just one. Their first ever encounter came back in 2019 when the two faced each other at the ATP Masters 1000 Miami. Felix, in straight sets, defeated Hurkacz and clinched an early lead in the head-to-head stats.

However, their last encounter came a year back in Halle, Germany. A tough Hurkacz not only broke the undefeated head-to-head record for Felix but also made his way into the semis back then. The match ended with a scoreline of 7-6, 7-6 with both players playing equally well.

Coming into the finals, both players will be equally determined to grab the title. However, there is only one who would be able to do the same. With the form that Hurkacz has shown recently, he looks like a clear favorite to win the title. With his recent success in Shanghai, he would be looking to carry forward the momentum and become the champion.
