The indoor hard court event in Vienna is always entertaining, and the ongoing edition is no exception. After witnessing some high-octane action in the initial round fixtures, the tennis community is now all hyped up for some blockbuster semifinal matchups. The top 4 seeds in the ATP Tour 500 event have made it to the latter stages, as they are now a few steps away from glory at the Wiener Stadthalle.
Justifying their current rankings on the men’s tour, Andrey Rublev and Jannik Sinner have reached the semis of the Vienna Open. Given that both the young tennis sensations are in excellent shape and have already defeated opponents of high caliber, it should be a really fascinating watch.

By winning his first-round match, the Italian tennis star recently exacted revenge on Ben Shelton, who upset him in the Shanghai Masters. After thumping the American, Jannik Sinner later enjoyed another straight-set win against his compatriot Lorenzo Sonego, 6-2, 6-4. Continuing his great momentum, the current world No. 4 then brushed aside another top competitor, Frances Tiafoe, in the quarterfinals, 6-3, 6-4. The 22-year-old is now two matches away from his fourth triumphant campaign this season.
Andrey Rublev, on the other hand, will now look to make amends for his championship match defeat in the previous event, the Shanghai Masters. In the Vienna Open, the Russian tennis phenomenon overcame the likes of Matteo Arnaldi and Alexei Popyrin to proceed to the latter matchup. The current world No. 5 also prevailed in his high-profile meeting against Alexander Zverev, as he defeated his German rival 6-1, 6-7, 6-3. The 26-year-old, who has marked four triumphs this season, will now be vying for yet another title in Vienna.
