Daniil Medvedev has had a fantastic 2023 season. He started the year on a high and won the ATP Rotterdam, the Qatar Open, and the Dubai Tennis Championship in a row. Then, a final appearance at the Indian Wells and then a title triumph at the Miami Open meant that the season just got better. Another title victory at the Italian Open solidified his status at the top. However, then came a series of sloppy performances where the best he was able to do was make it through to the semi-finals at Wimbledon.

Talking about his recent performance, he has clearly shown why he is one of the top contenders going into the ATP Finals. From defeating the likes of Grigor Dimitrov to Stefanos Tsitsipas, he did it all here in Vienna and made his way into the finals.
