This fan suggested that Sinner did not win any slam this year and laid his hands on only a few titles this year, how is he supposed to win the award? He also went ahead to enquire about Carlos Alcaraz if he was not a deserving candidate for the award. “No Slams, won a few things here and there and now the newly crowned “next one” king. What happened to Alcaraz? That faded quite quickly,” wrote the fan.

Sinner and his team won 3 ATP awards this year
This year has been very fruitful for him when it comes to personal accolades. Even though he was not able to make it through to the finals of any grand slams, he managed to lay his hands on the prestigious ATP Awards at the age of just 22. Apart from the ‘Most Improved Player’ award that he received, he also managed to bag the ATP award for being the Fan Favorite.
This was the first time in around 20 years that neither Rafael Nadal nor Roger Federer could lay their hands on the title. Apart from this, another award that his team bagged was the ATP ‘Coach of the Year’ where his head coach Darren Cahill was awarded the title.
