Fans have consistently carried a belief that the ATP has some sort of disregard for Novak Djokovic. The Serbian, who developed and runs the PTPA, has faced several indirect snubs, mainly in the form of exclusions from various marketing moves.
As the new season has begun, and the players are holding their marks in Australia, the ATP recently attempted to hike the excitement of fans with an engaging marketing move. However, not everyone seems to be happy because of some missing elements in the graphic.
Fans lash out as ATP’s 2024 poster misses Novak Djokovic

ATP recently revealed its 2024 poster as a marketing move to attract the attention of fans. However, it seems like this might have backfired, as along with the fans who seemed to like the graphic, many were unhappy with it too. The poster came up with a tagline that said, “New Season, New Era, New Attitude,” featuring Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, and Ben Shelton in tough forms. As the media covered pictures of rising stars, the fact that it missed Novak Djokovic’s picture became an issue for some.

Starting the trail of lashing responses, a fan, drew out ATP rank points to question Shelton’s position in the poster as he wrote, “And Shelton who is not even Top 10 yet.”

A fan brought out a completely different perspective, as he pointed out Federer and Nadal’s absence as the reason behind ATP’s disregard towards the Serb. He wrote, “Disgraceful from ATP. It makes it all the more sweeter that Novak ended on top and ruined their Fedal love in.”

As the trail of comments continued, a fan pointed out the ATP’s action of presenting this regard without any filters now. “They are not even hiding it anymore. Thats pure evil,” he wrote.

With these, and several other comments revealing their hateful thoughts about the association, fans came up in support of Djokovic, questioning the authorities for the world no.1’s missed spot in the year’s poster.

Djokovic’s not-so-good relations with the ATP
Recently, Novak Djokovic, led the concerns of players about the frequent equipment changes that brought several physical challenges for the players. The Serb even approached the association’s CEO Andrea Gaudenzi to seek a solution for the issue.

After Novak Djokovic experienced a painful wrist injury, players from the tennis community and the fans shot the blame towards the authorities. While there were concerns about Nole’s participation in the upcoming Australian Open, the icon slashed them down by giving a positive update on his situation. As the legend looks ahead to hone his career, it still remains to be seen if the ATP backs him with the same respect or if the feud continues.
