As the saying goes, real popularity comes from being comfortable with ourselves. People who are well-liked by others treat everyone with respect. And Jannik Sinner is right at the top, or so American tennis star Chris Eubanks says. He revealed that the Italian is one of the most popular players among his ATP peers.

Per Eubanks, Sinner always takes the time to speak to everyone in the locker room- be it the attendants or the players. On top of that, his stellar performances over the last few months have sky-rocketed his popularity in the tennis world.

Jannik Sinner was once a standout junior skier and had idolized Olympic champion Bode Miller as a kid instead of tennis legends. But now a master of the racket sport, the Italian has beaten the best, with winning big titles a habit for Jannik Sinner. Recently, he ended Novak Djokovic‘s 33-match unbeaten run at the Australian Open, depriving the Serbian superstar of his 11th AO title. He has now become a topic of discussion and here’s what Chris Eubanks had shared about Sinner’s popularity in the tennis world.

First off, Jannik is one of the most popular guys in the locker room. I think all the players take a sense of pride & happiness to see his success on this stage. He’s a player that gets along with everyone, speaks to everyone. Whether it’s the locker room attendants, the other players saying good luck. We also know he’s dealt with a couple heartbreaks in big matches. To see him climb the mountaintop. Although, he still has one more match to go,” Eubanks.

He further added, “I think it shows everyone in the locker room ‘Wow, you continue to work hard. You continue to put in the work, you don’t get dejected when things don’t go your way and good things can happen.’” Last year Sinner was even voted as the Fan’s Favorite Player of the Year by ATP. But Sinner once joked that there are those around him who are slowly and steadily ‘getting more famous’ than him.

Sinner is happy to see the Carota Boys in Australia

Carota Boys is now one of the most popular fan bases in the tennis world. The group was formed as a joke after Jannik Sinner was spotted snacking carrots during a changeover in Vienna in 2019. After that, they have been following this Italian superstar all over the world and have also made their presence felt on social media.

Speaking about this group of six men, Sinner said, “I was not expecting them to come here. But it’s nice to see them in the stand. Obviously, we have made some great memories together, no? With all the support they give me. They are getting more famous than I am, slowly.”
