However, when it comes to the Australian Open, Kyrgios brings out his best tennis and electrifies the local crowd. Especially at the John Cain Arena, Nick enjoys huge support, and the same was evident yesterday when the Aussie defeated Liam Broady in the opening-round match.

Naomi Osaka is all praise of Nick Kyrgios after the latter’s first-round victory at the Australian Open

When Naomi Osaka was asked about Kyrgios and the incredible support he gets in Melbourne, she was happy to see Nick back in full form.

I [was] watching @NickKyrgios match last night. I feel like it’s not #AusOpen  if you don’t watch a night match of Kyrgios on John Cain Arena. The serve was awesome. It’s really nice to see him back and so pumped up.”

Just like Osaka, fans were elated watching Kyrgios engage the crowd with his emphatic style of play. The Australian star moves to the second round, where he will face the in-form and title favorite, Daniil Medvedev. Osaka breezed past Madison Brengle, faces Anisimova next

Coming to Naomi Osaka, the Japanese star continues her winning streak with a straight sets victory over the American Madison Brengle earlier today. While Osaka breezed through in the first set and bageled Brendle, she faced immense resistance from the American in the second set.

Brengle broke Osaka‘s serve and looked dangerous enough to clinch the second. Osaka faced a brief setback as she made numerous errors, allowing the American to take the lead. But the defending champion didn’t let Brengle to run away with the set as she played a perfect return game to compensate the break of serve.

In the end, it was all too comfortable for Naomi Osaka to sail through to the third round, where she faces yet another American, Amanda Anisimova. It will be the first meeting between these two players on Friday in Melbourne.
