The Oscars is one of the most prestigious events in the entertainment industry. No award in the film industry worldwide is considered better than the Oscars. The winning movie always increases starkly in popularity. At this year’s event, ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ won the best picture award, and deservedly so. However, many would not know that a prime member of the team involved in the production of the movie, Tim Headington, is a former tennis player.

Timothy Clare Headington is an American billionaire, and he worked as an executive producer in the Oscar-winning movie. Headington is the CEO of Headington Oil. While the name might suggest the firm is focused on oil, they also focus on several other ventures. The firm also produces movies and works in real estate.

Tim Headington lauded by the current OU athletic director

As the best picture award went to ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ at the Oscars on 12th March, everyone was rushing to wish the team involved in making the movie. One of the members of the production team was Tim Headington. While Headington has nothing to do with tennis these days, he used to be a daunting player during his college days.

Headington was enrolled in the University of Oklahoma. Additionally, he was a member of the tennis team of the university. His roots remained firm as the athletic director of his alma mater who also wished Headington. Joe Castiglione, former football player, took to Twitter to congratulate the alum of his university.

Coco Gauff predicted the best picture winner

Headington being involved in the production of the movie is not the only connection it has to tennis. Coco Gauff, an American tennis player and current world no.6, predicted that the movie would win in an exclusive interview with the Tennis Channel. Gauff has predicted another instance correctly. Her previous accurate prediction was about Rihanna’s performance in the Superbowl halftime show.
