Maria Francisca Perello, Nadal’s wife, has often been sighted in the 22-time singles Grand Slam champion’s player’s box during his matches on the tour. Even during his farewell campaign at the Barcelona Open, the ‘King of the Clay’ will enjoy the company of his wife, who was recently seen accompanying the Spaniard during his participation. Not just his wife, but Nadal’s son will be there in Barcelona as well. The little was also seen enjoying some playful moments with his dad’s tennis racket.

A Twitter user recently brought to light some glimpses of the ATP player enjoying the company of his wife and son. “Rafael Junior’s racket is getting bigger 🥹(Rafa’s match vs Cobolli is now confirmed to be on Tuesday, as he does not appear on Monday’s Order of Play) 🤞💪,” the tweet read.

As he arrived on the Catalonian clay, Nadal also sharpened his racket skills on the court, while Perello and Rafa Junior watched on during a practice session.

With the support of his loved ones, Nadal will now start his farewell campaign at the event. The 12-time champion will be squaring off against the unseeded Italian Flavio Cobolli in the opening round match.
