The Bavarian International, an ATP 250 tournament, will feature the American Taylor Fritz as he attempts to take on the Brit Jack Draper. Fritz had a good start to the season as he reached the final of the Delray Beach Open. However, he has only won three matches out of 7 following the tournament. Draper has had a run quite similar to Fritz’s.
The Briton showed his best performance in the Mexican Open by reaching the semifinals but failed to find his footing in tournaments thereafter. Both players are in desperate need of a win as both of them lost in their first-round Monte Carlo clashes.

Taylor Fritz vs Jack Draper: Preview
Fritz beat Alejandro Moro Canas in the round of 16 in Munich 6-3, 6-1. The American player hit an astounding 9 aces against his Spanish opponent and no double faults. He won 5 out of 9 break points while giving away 1. Although he let the first set slip, Draper’s dominance in sets two and three gave him a win to remember. Now, he needs to ensure he can bring the same intensity to Fritz to give him a challenge.
Fritz vs Draper: Head-to-Head
Taylor Fritz and Jack Draper have played against each other once on the ATP Tour. Draper has won their only match so far, which was held at the Queen’s Club Championships 6-3, 6-2. The grass proved to be too much for the American player, as his stint ended in straight sets. Their only bout took place almost two years ago, and both players have changed immensely since then. With the surface of their first clash being the fast grass, we will now see them play on a surface that is much slower.
Prediction: Fritz to reach the semifinal
Both players have shown some of their weakest performances on clay. But their current form shows they have become serious about conquering it. The one to improve his hold on clay will be Fritz, who did not give a single chance to his opponent in the previous round. While Draper also showed amazing skills in his previous matches, he allowed both of his opponents to get a hold of the match, which would be thoroughly punished by the American.

Fritz is dominating his serve as he did not allow more than 8 points to his opponents. On the other hand, Draper has let 51 points slip during his serve, which shows he needs a better grip on his serving tactics. A surprise is always welcome in tennis, but Draper will require consistency to win over Fritz.
