However, his achievements still eluded him a prestigious BBC award, which is given to the best sports personality outside of Britain. Watching their favorite star being snubbed, fans of the Djoker were unable to control their anger and ripped apart the British network for not even including him in the top three.

BBC finds itself on the bad side of Novak Djokovic fans

Recently, the British Broadcasting Company decided to name their World Sport Star of the Year. The winner of the acclaimed award was Manchester City Striker Erling Haaland. He was closely followed by rugby star Siya Kolisi, and Max Verstappen, the F1 racer. However, reading the news made the Djoker fans furious as they took to ‘X’ to lambast the British media. 

One fan said that BBC has become a “tarnished brand.”

A fan of Djoker said that the network was a part of the establishment that aims to downplay Djokovic’s significance and that they would never give him an award.

A user brought in the mention of Roger Federer, saying that he would win it if he were still an active player.

One of the fans went on a lengthy tirade as they wrote that it was ‘bigotry’ from the end of the BBC.

Stating a negative comment or snubbing Djokovic in any area is akin to going to war with his fans. Tennis followers can see it in this instance, and they could also see it when he was ignored when the ATP gave out the Sportsmanship of the Year award.

Djokovic fans chastise the ATP for Sportsmanship award snub

Novak Djokovic has never won the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award in his career. However, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer have won the award a combined 18 times, with Federer holding the acclaim 13 times himself. The blatant snub of the Djoker never settled well with his fans as they called out the ATP for leaving Djokovic out of the award.

They also called the ATP corrupt for never considering the Djoker for the award. Many also said that Fedal had them in their pockets and kept sharing the accolade with one another. This year, it went to Carlos Alcaraz, eluding Djokovic once again. The question remains: wan he ever win it?
