The Swiss maestro took to Instagram to share an adorable picture with his pet dog. Sharing a post on his official Instagram handle, he said, “It’s been a fun summer!”

Subsequently, he also shared glimpses of his practice session. Federer practiced with his wife, Mirka. The former World Number 1 is aiming to make a positive return to tennis later this year.

Earlier this year, the Swiss legend revealed that he’ll make a comeback at next month’s Laver Cup. Federer will play alongside the likes of Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray for Team Europe at the Laver Cup. Further, he’ll also be participating in the Swiss Indoors Basel.

Federer’s retirement-like words leave his fans in shock

Recently, Federer shared a video on his official Instagram handle in which he said, “When I first started as a ball kid, I learned that genius is not replicable. Inspiration though, is contagious.”

Further, he went on to add, “Tennis is a game of inches but it took me miles away. It’s a way of being on and off the court. I learned that you can never be bigger than the game. But you can always make the game as big as your dreams.”

Although the video was a promotion for his new On shoe line, fans misinterpreted it to be around Federer’s retirement. Subsequently, his fans shared their emotional reactions to this video.
