Benoit Paire Says He Doesn’t Deserve Suspension From the ATP Tour Following On-Court Antics

French professional tennis player Benoit Paire didn’t get an ideal start at the Miami Open 2021. He lost to Lorenzo Musetti in straight sets in the very first round. The final scoreline of the match was 6-3, 6-3. He also paired with Rohan Bopanna in the doubles category but the team also lost in the very first round in straight sets.
What has emerged out to be an even bigger problem for Benoit Paire is that he might face a possible suspension from the ATP. This might take place due to his recent misconduct and his on-court antics in the match against Musetti. However, in a recent interview, Paire claimed that he doesn’t deserve any sort of suspension because of his behavior.

“What do they want me to be suspended? Because I am not allowed to be here? I do my maximum, sometimes my maximum is not very high. I do not see why I would have one. Suspension,” said Paire in the interview. (Translated via Google Translate)
Paire is surely unhappy that he might face a ban from the ATP. He believes he hasn’t done shown any inappropriate behavior on the court that can bring him a suspension from the tour.
“Not going to watch a tennis match”- Benoit Paire
Asked what he would do now since he is out of the Miami Open 2021, the French player came up with an intriguing response. He revealed he would go home and meet his family. However, he said that he wouldn’t watch any tennis match now as he is not at all interested.
“I manage my life the way I want to (…) You are really wrong to worry. I’m going to go home, see my family and friends, take my dog for a walk. And I’m not going to watch a tennis match, I’m not interested,” explained Paire.
