Young Danish tennis prodigy Holger Rune is going through a brilliant phase in his career. The 19-year-old played brilliantly in the Paris Masters last year defeating the likes of Andrey Rublev, Carlos Alcaraz, and ultimately Novak Djokovic to clinch the title.

He also did well in the Australian Open recently. Currently, the 19-year-old is busy preparing for Rotterdam Open. While practicing, there was a unique thing that happened. The Danish tennis star paid a special tribute to Swiss tennis maestro Roger Federer. Here’s what happened.

Holger Rune shared a rather interesting video on his Twitter account. The 19-year-old shared a video of himself practicing volley. If we examine, there’s a picture of legendary Swiss tennis star Roger Federer in the background. Talking about the same Rune wrote, “Better keep the volleys sharp when @rogerfedereris hanging just above you.”
It was a lovely tribute to one of the greatest tennis players of the modern era. Federer played his last tennis match at the Laver Cup 2022. He coupled up with Rafael Nadal to play a doubles match. Rune, being only 19 years old, surely grew up watching the Swiss maestro break and create numerous records. This was one of his unique ways to pay tribute to the legend. Everybody has a different perspective and gives their logic for selecting any one of them as the GOAT. However, 19-year-old Holger Rune hates this debate. The Dane believes that all four of them have done remarkably well in their careers and have made various records.
