‘Big Day for Our Uteruses’ – Andre Agassi’s Ex-wife Brooke Shields Urges People to Vote Carefully Ahead of the US Midterm Elections

Former American tennis star Andre Agassi’s ex-wife Brooke Shields recently raised her voice regarding abortion laws in the US. Agassi is among the best tennis has seen. The American has eight Grand Slam titles to his name. While we have seen players passionate about the game, Agassi is someone who hated tennis and still made it big. The former world number one had a fair bit of controversies in his life as well.

Speaking of his personal life, the American was married to popular actress Brooke Shields for two years. However, things didn’t work out, and they had to separate. Shields today is a popular figure and also a social activist.

Brooke Shields urges people to vote while keeping uteruses in focus

In the past few days, the US population is divided over the laws regarding abortion. While some want it to remain illegal, others want it to be legal. Brooke Shields has advocated for the latter one and has urged people to keep this in mind while voting.

The actress took to her Instagram account and shared a picture of her nail with a uterus painted on it. Further, she wrote, “TOMORROW is the big day… for our uteruses. Bring them into focus as you vote, our futures depend on this… our daughters’ futures depend on this… our democracy depends on this election. The stakes couldn’t be higher. PLEASE vote. If you don’t have a uterus, vote for someone you love who does to keep control of theirs.”

Shields got mixed reactions to her post as there were people who supported her while a few were against the idea she was rooting for.

Shields admitted she was a virgin till the age of 22 and considered sexuality before marriage as a sin. However, she kept evolving and changing her mindset. Shields further added that she was still searching for it in her thirties. Only when she reached her forties, she finally started believing that it was an experience to be cherished, rather than feared based on archaic stereotypes.
