Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov had to pause before starting his first match at the ongoing Australian Open following a controversial incident with his opponent Marton Fucsovics. This Hungarian tennis star was wearing a top that showed several brand logos. Now according to the Australian Open tournament’s rules, players can showcase only two commercial brand logos, and that also of a certain size. Now Fucsovics’s top caused a delay in starting the match against Grigor Dimitrov.
Marton Fucsovics’s top was allowed till the warm-up session. After that, his team was forced to bring another shirt for him. This caused a delay for the match to start. As a result, Gregor Dimitrov’s debut match at the Championship paused at the beginning.
